Friends, another shoe has dropped on the lingering status of the 2019-20 hockey season. Following Friday’s board of governors call, the American Hockey League has officially announced the cancellation of the rest of the 2019-20 season.

The AHL put their season on hold back on Mar. 12. The Flames’ top farm team, the Stockton Heat, still had 13 games left on their schedule and were in the midst of a battle with Tucson and Colorado for top spot in the Pacific Division.

Glenn Gawdin finished the season as Stockton’s leading offensive player with 47 points, just edging out Alan Quine.

Here’s a quick snapshot of farm team seasonal leaders since the 2012-13 lockout season.
