Minnesota goaltender Alex Stalock had 35 conserves in the loss and an assist on Zuccarello's objective.

"There was a lot of action at both ends," Talbot said. "Stalock played a heck of a video game also.

"I believed we could have had a few more [goals], however those video games are constantly fun when the other person is making a big save and you know have to respond to right back."

Connected for 3rd in Pacific with Oilers

Calgary stayed connected for 3rd in the Pacific Division with the Edmonton Oilers, who were 4-2 winners Thursday over the Montreal Canadiens.

The Flames are at house to the Oilers on Saturday.

"We've got 4 more games prior to the [all-star] break," Talbot pointed out.

"We're trying to separate ourselves from groups below us and capture the groups above us. These games are going to be big coming up and it's nice to string a couple of together here."
