The Calgary Flames will be trying to rebound from a shaky five-game road trip when they return home on Tuesday to face the rapidly improving Arizona Coyotes as -180 favourites on the NHL odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.
Calgary closed out a lengthy five-game road trip with a 4-2 loss in Washington as a +150 wager on Sunday, which also marked the club’s third loss in five outings going into Tuesday night’s game at Scotiabank Saddledome.

The Flames’ junket was marked by inconsistent performances by the team’s shooters, who scored two or fewer goals in each of their three recent defeats. That extends a trend that has seen the team fail to score more than two goals on five occasions during a middling 4-4-1 run.
The club’s low-scoring ways have contributed to an 8-3-1 run for the UNDER at sports betting sites. However, the Flames have regularly filled the net at home, potting 17 total goals while going 3-1-0 over their past four home contests. Calgary has also racked up big goal totals in recent dates with the Coyotes, scoring 12 total goals during a two-game home win streak against Arizona, but was blanked 2-0 as -130 road chalk in a trip to the desert back in March.
Pegged as +145 road underdogs for Tuesday night, the Coyotes have emerged as an early-season surprise story while staying in the thick of the hunt in the Pacific Division standings.
After posting a decisive 3-0 win over the Colorado Avalanche as -145 favourites on Saturday, the Coyotes followed up with a 3-2 win in Edmonton on Monday night in a -110 pick’em game to improve to 5-1-0 in their past six road dates, including victories in each of their past three.
The Coyotes have powered their steady start with stingy defence, and sit among the league leaders in goals against this season. And with the UNDER going 9-4-1 in Coyotes games so far this season, Tuesday’s contest could have all the makings of a low-scoring affair.
