The bleeding continues as the Vancouver Canucks have lost another player from their 2019-20 roster.
Defenceman Oscar Fantenberg, who joined the Canucks as a free agent last year on a one-year, $850,000 deal, played in 36 games for the club. He scored one goal and six points, adding another two games with the Utica Comets.
Fantenberg’s loss isn’t a major issue for the club this year as he posted very poor underlying numbers relative to his teammates. At 5v5 relative to his teammates, he posted a -4.64 CF%, a -18.81 GF% and a -0.34 xGF%.
Fantenberg, 29, has since inked a one-year deal to play for the KHL’s SKA St. Petersburg.
