In what should be a pretty good matchup tonight, two streaking clubs will meet in Dallas as the Winnipeg Jets who have won their last three in a row, four of their last five and seven of their last nine games, take on the Dallas Stars who have gone 8-0-1 over their last nine games… That one OT blemish on that otherwise stellar record? It was an OT loss to the Jets back on November 10 in Winnipeg when the Jets beat the Stars 3-2.

Dallas Stars: Early Season Resurgence Provides New Perspective – Blackout Dallas
“He just had a whole different vision of the game, how it felt, how it should be played, what would work and what wouldn’t,” Modano said. “When you look at it, it was perfect timing for him to come to Dallas. We didn’t have a puck-moving defenseman, we didn’t have someone to organize the power play, and we were really open to whatever ideas he had. It just came together for us, and for him.”

Last Jets Game
It wasn’t exactly a pretty game, but the Jets struck with a goal early in both the first and second periods and thanks to a 38 save effort from Connor Hellebuyck, made those two goals stand up in a 2-1 victory over the Nashville Predators.

What We’re Saying…
Now sitting with the team lead in goals, Ehlers has been tremendous over the past few games. With goals in three straight games, Ehlers has been featured on the scoresheet every game on this road trip. Along with the goals, Ehlers has also been dominating possession as his line of Jack Roslovic and Blake Wheeler have been really strong since coming together a few weeks ago. They have routinely out-shot and out-chanced their opposition which is great news for the team.
