The National Hockey League has released its return to play protocols breaking down how to get hockey back in action.

The league’s player association voted this weekend of moving forward with the plan that features a 24-team format with play-in games included.

Since, the league has made the plan public. It walks through all the procedures that the league and its teams will follow to bring hockey back. Included are many details that include:

  • General Description
  • Travel to the Club’s Home City
  • Testing for Infection and Antibodies
  • Temperature/Symptom Check
  • Education Session
  • Pre-Participation Medical Evaluation
  • Symptomatic Persons During Phase 2
  • Permitted Activities
  • Permitted Personnel
  • Social Distancing, PPE, and Other Safety Measures
  • Personal Safety Precautions
  • Cleaning and Disinfecting
  • Activities Outside of Club Facilities
  • Club Facilities
  • Club Facility Hygiene
