The Oilers are coming off a wildly successful road trip that saw them snag seven out of a potential ten points. The disappointing part is that they lost what was probably the most important game this past Saturday in Calgary. Regardless, the Oilers are back on home ice and probably feeling pretty good about themselves. They now enter a stretch where they play four rather important games spread out over the next 18 days. It all starts tonight as they welcome the Nashville Predators to Rogers Place.

After making a coaching change last week, the Preds are 2-1-0. Currently, they sit four points back of the Oilers for the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference but they have three games in hand on Edmonton. Tonight is another big game between two teams battling for a playoff spot in a very tight conference.

The Oilers will be without Zack Kassian as he begins serving a two-game suspension, which creates a hole on the team’s top line. Head Coach Dave Tippett also has an interesting decision to make when it comes to his starting goaltender tonight. I go through everything you need to know about tonight’s matchup on the Oilersnation Pre Game Pod (pres. by YEG Burger).
